Jamie has been with the club since 2011 when her family moved in next door. She joined the board in 2012. Jamie took over the role of treasurer in 2016 and then became president of the club in 2018. Jamie has always loved horses but the bug caught when her grandmother got her riding lessons for her 12th birthday. She spent her teen years learning and falling in love with riding at a hunter jumper barn in central PA. Today she enjoys spending time with horses doing mounted archery, gymkhana and trail riding. She loves being a part of Buxmont because it is a place that anyone that loves horses can come enjoy showing and spending time with their horse. Jamie is proud to be a part of a great local club that offers quality shows in a variety of disciplines.
Amy has been a member of the board since 2010. She has loved horses all of her life and competed in hunters through college. At the age of 3, Amy's daughter took over riding and showing their Thoroughbred. Amy was and continues to be her daughter's number one fan! Amy loves and cares for her horses and helps her daughter and niece make their horse dreams come true. Buxmont Riding Club has created many amazing memories for Amy and her family. With the help of many friends and volunteers, Amy has organized and run the jumpers and gymkhana horse shows for the past 10 years. Amy loves supporting the Buxmont Riding Club and works hard to keep it a family-friendly atmosphere. She firmly believes it is not all about winning, but rather about having fun and doing your best!
Audrey has been a member of the club since 2008. She was appointed club Treasurer in 2018. Audrey has owned horses for most of her life. She became a horse "addict" from her very first pony ride. From then until now, she's shown Hunters, Jumpers, and now focuses on Dressage and the occasional trail ride. Running her own business and keeping the organization's financial information on track laid a very natural groundwork for becoming the riding club's treasurer. She is thrilled to be a part of a thriving organization, especially one that is all about horses!
Wendy has been a member of Buxmont Riding Club since 201 and a Board member since 2016. She has been the Ride4Pride 4-H leader for many years. Wendy owns minis, ponies and horses. She has three daughters who also ride and drive.
Kelsey Gallagher grew up showing hunters & jumpers on the local as well as rated circuit starting at the age of 5. However, hunter/jumper is her favorite discipline. She has also dabbled in western pleasure as well as pleasure driving. After traveling the east coast as a professional groom, Kelsey came home to pursue a career in medicine. Today, she still braids locally as well as competes in the hunters and jumpers with her horses Shirley & Cassila. Kelsey's main goal as a board member at BRC is to provide a safe, educated environment for riders to horse show.
Robert is a high school math teacher and wrestling coach. He and his wife are passionate about riding and driving horses, minis and ponies. Robert joined the Board in 2020.
Betsy inherited her interest in horses, her horse paraphernalia, her horse truck and trailer, and her horse from her father, George Burgess. (Although, she adds that Sham, will always be "her dad's horse"--in her heart and his too).
Betsy is a pediatric physical therapist, working with children with autism. Movement (horse, human, and horse and human together) has always fascinated her. She will be achieving her hippotherapy certification with the eventual goal of providing equine-assisted PT in a friend's therapy business.
Betsy is honored to be a board-member. While she doesn't provide much in the way of horse-show experience, she has her dad's values of volunteerism and "repair/reuse/recycle," and is fairly proficient with power tools! Betsy is looking forward to continuing to both help out Buxmont Riding Club and increase her own equine knowledge.
Sarah has been with the club since 2014 & joined the board in 2015. She grew up with horses in her backyard & has worked with horses her whole life. Sarah has been riding since she could sit up, and began showing hunters and jumpers when she was 8 years old. Today, she loves trail rides with her husband and children & showing jumpers when she can. But mostly, she loves seeing the joy her own children get when riding their horses/ponies & showing at Buxmont. Sarah believes it is a privilege to be a part of such a great horse club, watching riders grow and achieve their goals throughout the season.
Linda has loved horses all her life and bought her first one at age 38. She was never interested in showing but has enjoyed all the many trails within an hour's drive from Sellersville. She currently owns 2 quarter horses and 2 minis.
Linda's other love besides horses is reading. She is a retired librarian from the North Penn School District. She is a widow with three sons and one granddaughter.
